1. About Rivals
Rivals is a fitness challenge app operated by Boardly Systems OÜ (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Rivals on iPhone or Android, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Rivals. By creating an account you confirm that you are. If we learn that a user is under 16, we delete the account.
3. Your account
Keep your account secure and don’t share it. You’re responsible for what happens under it. If you suspect someone else has access, write to support@berivals.app right away.
4. Play fair
You agree not to:
- submit false, manipulated or made-up fitness data or proof
- use other apps, scripts or devices to inflate your stats
- harass, threaten or abuse other people
- upload photos that are offensive, illegal or unrelated to the challenge
- try to reverse-engineer, hack or disrupt the app or its servers
- create several accounts to gain an advantage
Breaking these rules can get your account suspended or closed.
5. Health disclaimer
Rivals is a fitness tracking and social challenge app. It is not a medical device and doesn’t give medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional before starting a new exercise programme, especially if you have a health condition. You use Rivals at your own risk.
6. Rivals PRO
Some features need a subscription, sold through the App Store or Google Play.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before.
- Cancelling: cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account. PRO stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.
- Price changes: we tell you before a new price applies.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and messages you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store them and show them to the people in your challenges, only to run the app. Don’t post content that breaks the law or someone else’s rights.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account; your data is deleted within 30 days. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, immediately in serious cases such as cheating, fraud or harassment.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages from using Rivals, including injuries from exercise, lost data or lost earnings. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll tell you about material changes in the app or by email at least 14 days before they apply. Using Rivals after that means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection law where you live says otherwise.
